CMC Markets Selects Morello for Global Intranet

Mediasurface (UK, AIM: MSR), Europe’s leading content management solution provider, announce Global Intranet Morello deal with online trading leader, CMC Markets.

London, UK, 10th June 2008 –  Mediasurface, Europe’s leading content management solution provider has today announced that Morello, its Web Content Management solution (WCMs) has been selected by online trading solution specialist, CMC Markets to re-develop its corporate Intranet.
A global leader in online trading, CMC Markets has experienced significant expansion in recent years.  Supporting its strategy for growth CMC Markets plans to re-launch its global internal corporate communications intranet with Morello Web Content Management solution (WCMs). The contract includes software license, support, consultancy and training.

CMC Markets provides tailored online trading solutions for retail investors, banks, brokers and financial intermediaries worldwide.  Its global offices now house over 1000 CMC Markets staff following a 47% growth in staff numbers in 07/08, delivering a localised service to clients in 85+ countries.  The key driver for looking for a CMS tool to replace the portal level of SharePoint was having the ability to share content items across multiple sites, without duplication,  as well as meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. The new Morello powered intranet will integrate with CMC Market’s existing SharePoint 2003 team sites platform and services via the Morello SharePoint Connector. CMC Markets selected Morello Web Content Management solution (WCMs) following an extensive formal tendering and procurement process involving a number of CMS vendors. CMC Markets decided to look at a WCMs for their new Intranet following a comprehensive appraisal of the amount of effort, cost and technical development associated with upgrading their SharePoint 2003 platform to the latest MOSS 2007 (Microsoft Office SharePoint Services).

Through the new global corporate intranet CMC Markets aim to deliver personalised content to each employee that is localised to the country in which they work and also to their department. Later phases of the project plan to introduce individualised personalisation based on their individual staff profile using the technological openness of Morello to integrate with identity management software solutions such as Microsoft Active Directory and Oracle HR.  Mediasurface will provide support services from the UK and from Australia, to support CMC Markets new globally distributed platform for their Intranet.

The deal includes unlimited Morello Smart and Web Clients, Page Studio, ASP.NET site pack component library, Google Search Appliance plug-in and Morello SharePoint Connector and is scheduled to go-live in September 2008.
